Crizal Performance Lens Coatings
Are you looking for a way to eliminate the distracting glare from your eyeglass lenses? In today's world, 80% of the information we receive is visual. With ordinary lenses, 8% of this information is lost through reflections and light scatter, which leads to distracting image doubling (ghosting), glare, and eye fatigue.
We believe that Crizal is the market leader in anti-reflective lenses, which, in clinical studies, have been proven to dramatically reduce eye fatigue caused by light reflections and glare. Crizal lenses also enhance the appearance of your glasses as people can clearly see your eyes, without all the reflections.
What sets Crizal apart is its manufacturing process that ensures optimum compatibility between the lens and the coating, and between the coating layers themselves. Ordinary AR lenses may include a factory scratch coating on the front and a different type of coating-or no coating at all-on the back. These inconsistencies may result in adhesion problems. The Crizal process also creates a consistent scratch-resistant layer on both sides of the lens. It provides optimum hardness, while maintaining the flexibility required by expansion and contraction of the plastic lenses. This eliminates the risk of cracking and peeling common to other AR products. Crizal hydrophobic coating seals the surface of the lens and makes it easy to clean. The hydrophobic coating also reduces adhesion of grease and water stains seen on previous anti-reflective lenses.
